He is survived by: his mother Lois Elise Smith Parnell of Piedmont; his sons, Gary Parnell (Amanda) of Piedmont, Lindsey Parnell of Piedmont and Nathan Parnell (Chloe) of Mauldin; his sister Renee Brown of Piedmont; his sister-in-law Crystal Lachen of Piedmont; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Maddie Parnell and Pojo Simpson.
