She was predeceased by: her husband James Thomas Black, Jr.; her parents, Townes Arthur and Viola Merck Darnell; and her siblings, Margaret McCullough, Grace Chastain and Buddy Darnell.
She is survived by: her son Ricky Dale Black (Beth) of Piedmont; and her siblings, Ruby Spoon of Greenville, Linda Mathis of Greenville and Darrell Darnell of Greenville.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Gray Mortuary Chapel (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Graceland Cemetery West (4814 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611).
