He was predeceased by: his wife Beulah Naomi Harrison Burton; his parents, Marion Jacob Burton and Bessie Lee Ward Burton; and his sisters, Mamie Vaughn, Lucy Gilstrap and Grace Littlefield.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri James (Tommy), Tess Burton and Brian Burton; his sisters, Corrine Keeler, Miriam "Jitter" Thomas and Elnora Burton; his grandchildren, Jessica Burton, Chris George, Amanda Burton, Cody George and Adrienne Burton; and his great grandchildren, Kyler Burton, Zoey George and Luxana Vanderfort.
