He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Noel and Alice Adaline Ellenburg Atkins; his children, Debra Sue Atkins, Edward Adam Atkins and Scotty Wayne Atkins; and his siblings, Carl Atkins and Annette Rosenbert.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Fay McAlister Atkins; his children, Cynthia Atkins Waldon (Tony) of Belton, Clyde David Atkins (Angela) of Piedmont and Holly Carlton of Belton; and his sisters, Avanelle Rowland, Alene Owens of Pickens and Alica York of Easley. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
