He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Sue Sayre Vass; his parents, John Robert and Thelma Mae Vass; and his sister-in-law Linda Vass. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Vass of Greenville and Robert Vass of Greenville; his brother Robert Vass; and his grandchild Lauren Vass Guthrie (Clay).
