With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Simmons Broom in Piedmont, South Carolina, born in Rhodhiss, North Carolina, who passed away on September 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Jeff Simmons and Lola Fulton Simmons; her daughter Joyce Drye; and her siblings, William Simmons, Gene Simmons and Betty Tyndal.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Dawkins (Kevin) of Matthews, NC and Gary Broom (Donna) of Suwanee, GA; her sister Carol Long (Cecil) of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Ashley Williams (Erik), Shaun Horn (Kristin), Danny Dawkins (Vicky), Dianna Ayers (Brad), Brandon Drye and Brittany Drye; and her great grandchildren, Sammy Horn and Grace Horn.
