She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Harold Hamby, Sr.; her parents, Cecil Edward and Beatrice Thurston Sullivan; and her siblings, Gary Sullivan and Jackie McDowell.
She is survived by: her son Robert Harold Hamby, Jr. (Tina); her brothers, Larry Thurston (Pat) of Piedmont and Allen Sullivan of Townville; and her grandchild Kendall Hamby.
