In loving memory of Virgil A. Brantley (Pickens, South Carolina), born in Augusta, Georgia, who departed this world on June 30, 2024 at the age of 75. Virgil leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Respress Olin Brantley and Fhilomena Gardner Brantley; and his grandson Damon Cole Martin. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Ridlehoover Brantley of Townville; his daughters, Shea Martin (Erik) of Seneca and Charly Brantley (Matt) of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Makenzie, Riley and Jackson; and his sisters, Delores Risinger (Phil) of Greenwood and Diana Girardeau (Michael) of Laurens. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and many loyal friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Virgil's honor may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun St, Anderson, SC 29621, (864) 222-3500.

“I never met Virgil but he was our guardian angel May 9 th when a storm came through Lake Hartwell and a downed tree tore all of the electric off of our home. ( We were only in for a month). I called him vet early and he was so gracious and provided the names of folks who could help us and that they did. Rest in Peace and we hope you are now without pain. Michael and Jolene Sullivan”
