With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Opal L. Johnson (Pickens, South Carolina), born in Whittier, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Raby and Evelyn Queen Raby; her husband Clyde Johnson, Jr.; her children-in-law, Joe Tobias and Reesa Johnson; her grandson Chris King; and her siblings, Lorraine Beck, Janie Waldrop, John of Donald, J. D., Tink and Buford Raby.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Tobias of Greer, Michael Johnson of Rome, Georgia and Tim Johnson (Denise) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Esther Crosby (Mark), Jeremy Clayton, Kandice Fossett and Seamus Johnson; her great grandchildren, Paul, Charlotte, Steven, Aiden, Lilly, Jo and Wyatt; and her siblings, Ruth Ammons, Brenda Jones, Lottie Beck, Linda Hughes, Roger, Jerry and Robert Raby.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Funerals and Cremations - Pickens Chapel (105 Florence St, Pickens, SC 29671). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
