He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Beechem and Virginia Killough Short. He is survived by: his wife Lane; his son John Bradley Short (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Felton (Bo) and Addison Grace Short; his great grandchild Micah Lynn Felton; and his sister Elaine Hall.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to make donation to United Christian Ministries, The Store House located at Five Point Church in Easley South Carolina or for his granddaughter Addison Short at Campus Outreach SERVE http://www.campusoutreach.org as she prepares for the mission field in June 2025.
