With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Iona Cantrell Dodson (Pickens, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bolt Cantrell and Mae Cantrell; her husband James A. Dodson; her siblings, Heywood, Jaen Cantrell, Horace and Martha Cantrell; and her brothers-in-law, Brian R. Brown, Alvin G. Burkett and David Cantrell.
She is survived by: her sisters, Margaret C. Brown of Inman, SC, Wilma C. Burkett of Six Mile, SC and Linda N. Schreck (Dal) of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church in Six Mile, SC or to the charity of one's choice.
