He was predeceased by: his wife Una Kelley Welborn; his parents, Henry Welborn and Buna Patten Welborn; and his brothers, John Welborn, Fred Welborn and Henry Welborn.
He is survived by: his children, Catherine W. Ayers (Wayne) and Harold Patten Welborn Jr. (Pat); his grandchildren, Emily Knowles (Jon), Kevin Welborn (Candace), Kaycee Collins and Kelley McGaha (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Taylor Knowles, Alexander Knowles, Tanaleigh Smith, Jackson Welborn, Henry Welborn, Sophie Welborn and Ivy-Claire McGaha; his sisters, Sarah Rampey (James), Frances Welborn, Ruth Clark (Larry) and Clova Vaughan (Scooter); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Welborn and Clara Anderson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Funerals and Cremations - Pickens Chapel (105 Florence St, Pickens, SC 29671). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC 29671).
