He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Giles Banks and Mozelle Elrod Banks. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Griffin Banks; his daughters, Cindy Gantt Porter (Michael) of Central, Toni Banks Waldrop (Gary) of Marietta and Sushilaben "Susi" Patel (Peter) of Easley; his grandchildren, Kattie Jayne Hill of Pickens, Jay of Easley and Nil Patel of Easley; his great grandchildren, Charity "Lei-Lei" Sullivan and Hunter "Peanut Butter" Sullivan of Six Mile; and his siblings, Wanda James (Dean) of Easley, Tina Godfrey of Easley and Wayne Banks (Vickie) of Easley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (105 Florence St, Pickens, SC 29671).
