She was predeceased by: her parents, Peyton Smith and Essie Clark Smith. She is survived by: her children, Susan Garrett (Russell), Teresa Helmly (Frank Moore) and Richard Helmly (Kelly); her grandchildren, Rachael Helmly and Andrew Brock; and her siblings, Gail Summerford and Wendell Smith.
