She was predeceased by: her parents, George Welborn of Washington and Dorotha Mae Adams Welborn; and her son Rusty Newell. She is survived by: her husband Joel Burdette; her daughter April Newell Duncan (Tony); her grandchildren, Cale, Connor Duncan, Abigail Grace and Meredith Newell; her siblings, Jerry Welborn (Terry) and Pat Rector (Jim); and her nephew Don Welborn (Susan).
