He is survived by: his wife Estella Wheaton Quarles; his sons, Anthony Quarles, Joseph Quarles and Min; his granddaughters, Jaddiah and Jasmine Quarles; his siblings, Johnnie Quarles, Jessie Quarles, Robert Quarles, Paulette Gaines and Janie Pickens; and his uncle John Dean (Sallie). He is also survived by in-laws; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
