He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Tate Hellams of Pendleton, SC; his children, Susann Hellams of Pendleton and Will Hellams (Brinkley) of Chevy Chase; his grandchildren, Tate Griffin of Pendleton, Mary Britton and Campbell Hellams of Chevy Chase; and his sister Martha Hellams Willis (Carroll) of Plant City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
