He was predeceased by: his wife Rena Addis Rhodes Adams of Pendleton, SC; his parents, Willie Jasper Adams and Verna Gladys Spencer Adams; and his brothers, Howard Adams and Wilton Adams.

He is survived by: his daughter Linda Slaton (Paul) of Pendleton; and his grandchildren, Tammy Kelley (Rodney), Glenn Slaton (Paige) and Kathy Durham (Mickey). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren.
