She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Galloway and Tincy Bell Johnson Galloway; her stepmother Tobitha Moon Galloway; her former husband Josephus McDowell; her husband Clarence Grant; her granddaughter Mary Ann James; and her siblings, Lawrence Henry, Larry Michael Galloway, Willie Bell Plantin, Margie Plantin Greenlee and Roxie Mae Green.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lurene Lee of Pendleton, SC, Helen Plantin of Pendleton, SC, Sylvene Brown of Pendleton, SC, Carrine Galloway of Pendleton, SC and Carolyn Williams of Pendleton, SC; her grandchildren, Kwasi Tuffour (Troyie), Dana James (Eric), Cynthia Grant Brown, Maueva Womack, Shane Womack and Issac Womack of Maine; and her nieces, Wilhelmina Matthews and Eva Mae Williams. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
