We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2023, at the age of 83, Estella Wheaton Quarles of Pendleton, South Carolina, born in Anderson, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest A. Wheaton and LuEllen Hamilton Wheaton; her husband James Pressley Quarles Sr.; her son James Presley Jr. "PeeWee"; her siblings, Rosa Mae, Pauline, Ernest Albert, Charlie, Nelson and Israel Wheaton; and her grandson Elijah Cleveland.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony, Joseph and John David Quarles; her grandchildren, Jaddiah, Jasmine Quarles, Jonah Cleveland and Rod Swinger; her siblings-in-law, Clara Wheaton, Phoebe Wheaton, Paulette Gaines (Ernie), Janie Pickens, Johnny Quarles, Robert (Terri) and Jesse Quarles (Sandra); and her close friend Daisy Mathis. She is also survived by many nieces/ nephews, great-nieces/nephews; great- great nieces/nephews; cousins and friends.
