He was predeceased by: his parents, Choice Victory and Janie Gillespie Boggs; and his siblings, Hazel McClaren, Clinton Boggs and Marion Boggs.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Delores Barnes Boggs; his children, Richard Boggs (Judy) of Pelzer and Debbie Boggs Sweet (Walt) of Easley; his siblings, Mary Dunn of Hickory Tavern, Franklin Boggs of Six Mile and R. C. Boggs of Central; his grandchildren, Zeke Boggs (Christy), Amy Garrison (Cole) and Emily Owens (Parker); and his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Fisher Boggs, Taylor, Cameron Garrison and Ellison Owens.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.
