He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Joseph Trantham, Sr. and Maralie Spake Trantham. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jean Wheeler Trantham; his children, Tammy Suzanne Trantham of Asheville, NC, Tracey Lee Ferrill (Tom) of Maroa, IL and Thomas Joseph Trantham, III (Ashley) of Pelzer; his stepsons, Will Tripp (Shannon) of Easley and J. T. Tripp of Easley; his sisters, Joyce Keever of Asheville, NC and Kathy Schofield of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Carley Suzanne Carlson, Tiffany, Ross, Taylor Ferrill, Bryce Elizabeth Trantham, Thomas Joseph Trantham, IV, Zachary, Seth, Jake and Gracie Tripp; and his great grandchildren, Zeke and Stetson Ferrill.
