She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Jefferson and Lucia "Lucy" Essie Maddox Allen; her son John Arvin Dacus, III; and her brother Jeff Allen. She is survived by: her husband John Arvin Dacus, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Dacus of Easley; and her grandson Travis Allen Dacus of Greenville.
