She was predeceased by: her father Ronnie Eugene Newton; her sister Debbie Melow; and her great-niece Madlyn McWilliams. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Johnathan Charles "Dicky" McCuen; her mother Virginia Maney Smart of Simpsonville; her children, Johnathan C. McCuen, II of Pelzer, Caroline McCuen Bohnenberger (Phillip) of Pelzer and Hadley Smith; her siblings, Ginger Dauenhauer of Pelzer, Rebecca Morgan of Virginia, Robin Wellmon, Leslie Martin of Greer, Ronnie Newton of Landrum and David Smart of Louisiana; her grandchildren, Johnathan C. McCuen III (Kolby), Annaliese McCuen and Ellison Bohnenberger; her aunt Elizabeth "Bootsie" Arnett of Simpsonville; and her great-nieces, Madisyn and Brooklyn Warfield.
