She was predeceased by: her husband John William Burris, Sr.; her parents, Joseph Gustave "Gus" and Mittie Fleming Morgan; her daughter Elizabeth A. Green; and her siblings, Josephine Jordan, Milwee Rawls, Nellie Ann Smith, J. T., Harold and Charles Morgan.
She is survived by: her son John William "Bill" Burris, Jr. (Harriett) of Iva; her grandchildren, William Isaac Burris, Benjamin Lee Burris, Conner Green and Bethany Joy Burris Patterson; and her great grandchildren, Isaiah Miles Burris, Audrey Elizabeth Burris, Gracelyn Patterson, Henry Daniel Burris and Isaac Alexander Green.
