She is survived by: her husband Herbert Buchanan Jr.; her children, Dr. Dale (Catherine Loftin Buchanan), Pamela (James Young) and Cheryl (Steve Gaines); her grandchildren, Joshua (Angela Young), Dr. Bailey Young, Alex (Amanda Buchanan), Herbert Andrew (Amy Gaines), Willson Buchanan and Abigail Gaines; her nephew Matthew Clifton Haines; her sisters, Evelyn Marie Daniels Minton of Avery County, Patsy Louise Daniels Vance of Avery County and Dianna Jane Daniels Calhoun of Avery County; her cousins, Harold, Phil, Bob and Bill Gragg; and her siblings-in-law, Mildred, Ron, Evelyn, Pat, Bill, Dianna and Toney. She is also survived by her three children.
