He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Anne Bishop Swords; and his brother Leeman Swords. He is survived by: his children, Allen Swords and Allison Buchanan (Leon); his grandchildren, Emerson Swords, Eleanor Daughhetee, Gaines and Allie Buchanan; his siblings, Linda Swords Clark and Sherwin Swords (Pat); and his pet Spanky.
