She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Anthony Blackshire, Sr.; her parents, John Ernest and Clara Hamby Simmons; her siblings, Ethel Chapman, Barbara Norris and Ernie Simmons; and her grandchildren, Beth Blackshire and Class Richard Adam Rogers.
She is survived by: her children, Celina Hall (Phil) of Savannah, GA, Kim McGhghy (Robert) of Woodruff, SC, Stacey Fleming (Michael) of Williamston, SC and Nicholas Blackshire (Wendy) of Louisville, KY; her brothers, David Simmons (Judy) of Williamston, SC, Terry Simmons (Janet) of Williamston, SC and Bruce Simmons (Pat) of Pelzer, SC; and her friend Marilyn Mann of Pelzer, SC.. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren.
