He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Elizabeth Butler Wells; his parents, Leroy Wells, Sr. and Vera Alice Tucker Wells; and his daughter Evelyn Ann Whitt. He is survived by: his sons, Billy Franklin Wells (Sue) of West Pelzer and Jimmy Lee Wells (Michele) of West Pelzer; and his siblings, Bobby Wells (Donna) of Ninety Six, Charles Wells of Greenwood and Louise Baldwin of Atlanta. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
