She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence George Carroll; her parents, Sloan Evans and Audrey Snipes Goldsmith; her son Michael McGann; and her siblings, Robert L. Goldsmith, James Lee Goldsmith and Ann Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Cotten (James), David Carroll, Timothy Carroll (Bebe) and Donald Carroll. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
