He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Caldwell Sr. and Catherine Roach Caldwell; and his siblings, Charles Caldwell, Conise Owen and Sharon Caldwell.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Louise Beasley Caldwell; his children, Glenn Caldwell, April Voll (Richard) and Candy Caldwell; his sisters, Carolyn Gambrell and Janice Smith; and his niece Debbie Tyson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
