She was predeceased by: her parents, Festenia Dewey and Mildred Lucille "Lucy" Garrett Brooks. She is survived by: her husband Tony S. McAlister; her daughters, Amy McAlister Pecoraro (Timothy) of Simpsonville and Anita Schwier (Andrew) of Greenville; her siblings, Ann Crawford (Tammy Hamby) of Greenville and Don Brooks of Williamston; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Cox of Greer; her grandchildren, Garrett Schwier (Libby), Gabriel Pecoraro (Ellie), Luke Pecoraro, Owen Schwier and Eden Pecoraro; and her nephews, Myles Crawford and Ben Cox.
