He was predeceased by: his parents, James Merimon and Mary Louise Wilson Green; his son Robert David Green; and his siblings, Linda Lee Leavell and Edward Green.

He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Ann McClain of Pelzer, Donna Marie Johnson of Pelzer and Palla Smith of Piedmont; his siblings, Margaret Farr of Elwood, IN and Ronnie Green (Karen) of Columbus, OH; and his close friend Cindy Stone. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and best friend.
