He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Frank and Mary Magdalene Cagle Byrd; his son-in-law Claud Luna; and his brother Charles Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Gloria J. Luna of Pelzer and James F. Byrd, Jr. of Cookeville, TN; his grandchildren, Jonathan Luna (Katelyn), Meagan Granbois (Garrett), Melanie Stoutt (Trevor) and Morgan Byrd; and his siblings, Rayford Byrd of Marietta, GA, Jack Byrd of Dallas, GA and Mary Gilmore of Acworth, GA.. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
