He is survived by: his wife Trudy Stoffel Thompson; his daughters, Denise Essig (John) of Anderson and Shannon Long (Rodney) of Belton; his brothers, Randolph Thompson of Pelzer and Gary Thompson (Juanita) of Belton; and his grandchildren, Jaysen, Cheyenne Threlkeld, Kady Price, Summer Threlkeld, Will and J. C. Long.
