He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Daniels Buchanan; his children, Dr. Dale Buchanan (Catherine Loftin Buchanan), Pamela Young (James Young) and Cheryl Gaines (Steve Gaines); and his grandchildren, Joshua Young, Dr. Bailey Young, Alex Buchanan, Herbert Andrew Gaines, Willson Buchanan and Abigail Gaines.
