She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Simpson and Parrie Chapman Simpson; her brother Pete Simpson; her granddaughter Lauren Ashley Webb; and her son-in-law Jackie Garton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Garton of Williamston and Jane McClain (Mitchell) of Williamston; her brother Ed Simpson (Mary); and her grandchildren, John McClain (Celeste), Matt Turner, Leslie Webb, Julie James and Lisa Blesi.
