He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Millard and Mary Lou Scruggs Cox. He is survived by: his wife Edna Gayle Lollis Cox; his daughters, Lisa Davis (Brian) of Belton and Lynn Cox Fortner (Scott) of Easley; his siblings, Sandra Cox of Easley, Kay F. Connelly of Williamston and Allen Cox of Simpsonville; his grandchildren, Joshua, Lauren, Bradley Childress, Mia Fortner, Kayla Hardee (Perrin), Breanna, Brooke and Jenna Davis; and his great grandchild Anders Hardee.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gray Mortuary (52 Main St, Pelzer, SC 29669). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
