It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doug Chapman of Pelzer, South Carolina, born in Belton, South Carolina, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Frances Simmons Chapman; his parents, James Chapman and Rosie Ailene Kinard Chapman; his sons, Roger Dale Chapman and Robert Steven Chapman; his siblings, David Earl Chapman, Frances Chapman and Ruth Craine; and his grandchildren, Donnie Chapman and Cindy Byerly.
He is survived by: his children, William "Billy" Douglas Chapman (Tammy) of Pelzer, Johnny Dwayne Chapman (Jamie) of Westminster and Robbie Gale Smith (Larry) of Pelzer; his siblings, Robert Kenneth Chapman (Carolyn) of Piedmont, Nettie Davenport of Honea Path, Linda Ann Roper (James) of Piedmont and Margie Porter (Harold) of Liberty; and his pet Baby. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
