He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Anthony and Nancy Elizabeth McWhorter Johnson; and his brother Gene Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Beth Morgan (Joseph Morgan III) of Decatur, AL, Kevin David Johnson (Candi) of Anderson, Mark Chapman (Nicole) of Pelzer and Derrick Shane Johnson (Samantha) of Williamston. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19, it is suggested that masks be worn and social distancing observed.
