It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Sims of Pelzer, South Carolina, born in Easley, South Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Furman Clayton Sims; her parents, Elmer Stringer and Dorothy Wilson Stringer; and her siblings, Jenny Wilson, Mary Ellen Mull and Danny Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Sims Morgan (Mark A.) of Greenville, Sherry Sims Coulter (Michael Thomas) of Greenville and Derek C. Sims (Crystal) of Pelzer; her siblings, Betty Roach, William Wilson, Kathy Ferguson and Steve Stringer; her grandchildren, Hannah Gottlieb (Kevin), Kennedy Beeson (Alex), Chloe Allen (Matt), Thomas Clayton Coulter and Walker Bass Sims; her great grandchildren, Bowen Sims Gottlieb and Sullivan Bea Gottlieb; and her caregiver Carol.
