He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Eugene Scott, I and Lola Bates Scott; and his sisters, Elizabeth Scott, Barbara Ann Scott and Linda Faye Morgan.

He is survived by: his close friend Linda Morris; his children, Marvin Mark Scott, Lonnie Ray Scott of Easley and Buffie Lynn Scott of Greenville; his stepchildren, Shelley Rogers of Greer and Benji Morton of Greenville; and his brothers, Harold Lee Scott of Greenville, Larry Scott of Greenville and Kenneth Scott of Greenville. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
