He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Chasteen Scott; his parents, Andrew Emmett and Vara Bradberry Scott; his siblings, Wallace, Andrew Thomas, David Scott, Mavis and Myrtis Scott; his grandchildren, Shalon Rogers and Scott Freeman; and his great grandchild Caroline Reynolds.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Scott (Julie) of Layton, UT, Robin Scott (Maria) of Greenwood, Derallin Morrow (Geary) of Piedmont and Debbie Moore (Gene) of Cross Hill. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
