He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Evelyn Underwood Counts; his daughters, Linda Coursey (John) of Starr, Vicki Greer (Al) of Williamston, Kay Wilbanks (Kenny) of Pelzer, Nancy Christopher (Duane) of Williamston and Mildred Counts of Williamston; and his brother Thomas Counts (Diane) of Pooler, GA. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
