It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Singleton (Pelzer, South Carolina), born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Charlie Singleton; her parents, Frank Johnson and Ether McDonald Johnson; her son Willie Shaw; and her siblings, Sam Moody Johnson, Frank "Bud" Johnson, Jr., L. C. Johnson, Virginia J. Phillips and Sue J. Holmes.
She is survived by: her daughter Gaye Shaw Griffin (Steve) of Greer; her siblings, John of Belton, Harry Johnson of Belton, Dellaree J. Haynie of Greeneville, NC, Sallie J. Elgin of Anderson and Karen J. Keeney of Anderson; her grandsons, Glenn Griffin, Jr. and Todd Griffin; and her great grandchildren, Aleina, Trey and Emma Griffin.
