He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Burtus and Flossie Elizabeth Ancel Leeson; and his siblings, Jack, Robert, Johnny, Virgil, Pete Leeson and Sally Leeson.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Marie Anderson Leeson; his children, Lois Marie Leeson of Anderson and Bernard Lewis Leeson, Jr. (Pam) of Morganton, NC; his sister Betty Hinzman of Clarksburg, WV; his grandsons, Steven and Tyler Leeson; and his great grandchild Seth Leeson.
