He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Clayton and Shirley A. Pfuntner Carnell; and his sister Cindy Bendzus. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Jean Annis (Paul Roberts), Sherry Alveshire (Gene), Keith Robert Clayton (Cindy), Kevin Richard Clayton (Vicky), Casey Carnell, Richard "Rick" Carnell, Susan Morrell, Nancy Dye and Barbara Foltz (Lee); and his brother-in-law Greg Bendzus.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pelion Church of the Nazarene (837 Norris St, Pelion, SC 29123). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
