He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew R. Jackson and Eloise Sturkie Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Bodie Jackson; his sons, Sam Jackson, Jr. (Heather) and Andy Jackson (Valerie); and his grandchildren, Sam Jackson, III (Mollie), Tim Jackson (Katelyn), Lyndsey Chavous (H. B.) and Aubrey Hite (Ashley). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Mr. Sammy had a large extended family.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Colonial Gardens Alzheimer's.
