With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delores Fox Shumpert of Pelion, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Herman Fox and Margaret Smith Fox; her son Steven Shumpert, Jr.; her brother Luther "Butch" Fox; her son-in-law Billy Ray Bailey; and her pets, Casper and Rascal.
She is survived by: her husband Steven Shumpert, Sr.; her daughter Terry Bailey; her grandchildren, Brent Bailey (Esther), Vicki Bailey (Jerry Rose), Amanda Shumpert (Tim Smith) and Steven Shumpert, III (Kaylie Beachum); her great grandchildren, Brent Bailey, Jr., Jacob Bailey, Abigail Bailey, Elora Bailey, Elaina Bailey, Madilyn Rose, Billie Rose, Payton Anderson, Jaxson Granger and Waylon Shumpert; and her brother Larry Fox.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery (1200 Pine St, Pelion, SC 29123). A reception was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (168 Main St, Pelion, SC 29123).
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Holy Trinity Luther Church, PO Box 144 , Pelion SC 29123.
