It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Louise Chavis (Pelion, South Carolina), who passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hill and Dorothy Hill; and her brother Rogers Hill. She is survived by: her husband Tommy F. Chavis; her children, Valerie Lanier, Henry Lanier, Chis Chavis (Angela) and Robert Chavis (Jackie); and her siblings, Daniel Hill, Lynn Hill and Wanda Baughman (Bill). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
